The SIGGRAPH (Special Interest Group/Graphics) convention this year was here in Los Angeles Aug. 12, 2008. Autodesk just has become the powerhouse in the industry, and announced new versions of most software I haven’t even begun to learn. Including the fact that I wasn’t quite aware that they had purchased Mudbox, a competitor of Z Brush. Their booth was jammed pack the entire day. Then all over the exhibit hall were signs of the upcoming move to stereoscopic. Which is a term you have to use to create the rehashed 3D movie crap they are putting in movies. All I thought is this more ’shit’ I have to learn.
